Welcome to this week's edition of Music Monday! Don't forget that we take suggestions, so feel free to shoot @thetannertimes a DM on Instagram or contact a part of our team if you have a song you would like to see!
This weeks winner was “God is a woman” by Ariana Grande. I really like the beat of the song, and, also, the lyrics to the song make the song even better. Ariana Grande's very iconic and angelic vocals have been dominating the music industry and the charts for years, and “God is a woman” is no different!
The pop and modern beats that are heard in the track create the perfect style song for a tune that will be stuck in your head all day. The lyrics are already very powerful and encouraging for a huge popstar to be spreading. The power of music is very influential, and has been for decades. Ariana Grande's statement off Twitter was, “To my fellow goddesses who work their asses off every day to ‘break the glass ceiling,’ this is for you.”
“God is a woman” is the second official track from Grande’s recently released album “Sweetener” along with her popular song “no tears left to cry.” You may have also heard of her most recently released single, “thank u, next,” which uses the power of song to show how Grande is grateful for all of her past ex-boyfriends. In fact, all of the titles off of “Sweetener” are lowercase letters for an aesthetically pleasing look, with the exception of “R.E.M” and the uppercase ‘G’ in “God is a woman.”
Overall, this song is a pop success and powerful girls anthem, in which, I think, is a very catchy and upbeat song to really show some recognition for us ladies. So, how do you like the song? Listen to “God is a woman” here on Spotify and YouTube!
